The government has opened online registrations for the covid vaccine. The link for the vaccine registration is www.cowin.gov.in live and you can also register via the Aarogya Setu app and the umang app, which is available on android and ios devices.
As of now, two COVID vaccines are being regulated across the nation, specifically Covaxin & Covishield. Since there are a predetermined number of slots available & a limited number of vaccination centres, So booking appointments for vaccination has become a serious diligent task. As of now people with age 18+ will be able to register for the vaccination in the state governments and private vaccination centres. Soon the government is planning to vaccinate all age groups.
Documents required for vaccination
To schedule vaccination sessions, you need a valid photo id proof like a pan card, aadhar card, passport, Voter id and driving licence, the same you need to carry while vaccination.
The appointment for vaccination is subjected to the availability of the vaccine.

How to register for covid vaccine using cowin?
To register via the web link on your browser, go to www.cowin.gov.in
Click on the register or sign in option
Enter your mobile number and generate the otp, enter the otp and click on verify,
Now the process is same in all platforms as shown in bellow steps.
- after verification is complete register yourself with required details such as name, age, gender and photo id, after you have filled in the details
- click on register and then go to the schedule option
enter your area pin code or select from the list of states followed by districts then select your preferred vaccination center. - Select date and time and click on confirm
How register for vaccination using Aarogya Setu app
You have to Install the Aarogya Setu app on your device.
- Click on CoWIN tab
- Click on register now
- Enter your mobile number & verify via OTP.
After that you need to follow the same steps that we showed you previously.
After you have completed the registration process you will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number with details of the place time and the date of vaccination, make sure that on the day of the appointment you reach the center with the same photo id you used while booking your appointment.
Remember to mask up and maintain social distancing at vaccination centers.

When should I take the 2nd dose of vaccination?
For COVAXIN the recommended 2nd dose interval is 28 to 42 Days after the first dose, to gives an maximum protection.
2nd dose of COVISHIELD should be administered in the interval of 4 to 6 weeks from the 1st dose.
In SPUTNIK V the second dose can be given in 21 Days to 90 Days after 1st dose.
Gap between two portions of Vaccine dependent on suggestion of COVID19 Working Group.
