Setting you need to do before using this Gmail feature
You can unsend an email immediately after sending an email, you will get up to 30 seconds after you hit the send button.
To do so open Gmail and click the setting icon on the top right, next select all settings.
Under the general settings tab, you’ll find the undo send option, where you can select a cancellation period of 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 20 seconds, or 30 seconds.
this means you can unsend an email up to 30 seconds after you hit the send button scroll down and click on Save Changes.
After writing an email and clicking on Send, instead of the mail getting delivered instantly, you’ll get a few seconds to recall that mail – you’ll now see an undo button on the bottom left of the screen, To recall an email that has already been sent, click the undo button.
Note that the undo button will stay there for the duration you set in the “send cancellation period” in the setting.
